Trien eicosanoids are formed from eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which have a beneficial effect on the circulatory system. Prostacyclin I₃ and prostaglandin E₃ expand the lumen of blood vessels and have anti-aggregating (anticoagulant) properties. An additional effect of Prostacyclin I₃ is to increase the level of cAMP, which in turn relaxes the smooth muscles of the blood vessels.
Regulates the lipid profile
Omega-3 acids have a beneficial effect on the lipid profile because they reduce the amount of cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, and increase the amount of HDL cholesterol. This is a highly beneficial effect, especially in terms of the circulatory system.

DHA is the structural basis of cell membranes. Neural phospholipids are composed of as much as 60% docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
