Highly absorbable form of folic acid
Some people show a genetic polymorphism of MTHFR, an enzyme that converts folic acid into a metabolically active form. In the product, folic acid is in the form of calcium L-methylfolate (L-5-MTHF), which does not require conversion to its active form, i.e. 5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate).

Folic acid is involved in the formation of red blood cells, therefore its deficiency contributes to the formation of megaloblastic anemia. Its deficit may also disrupt the proper metabolism of homocysteine. It is an amino acid that, in excess, has a negative effect on the circulatory system because it damages the endothelium of blood vessels, increases the adhesion of platelets or enhances blood coagulation.
